Each coloured line represents a road centreline on the map. A single named road may appear as several lines where it has divided carriageways or distinct sections. Roads are classified by the suffix at the end of their names, such as Road, Street, Highway and Tunnel in English, and 道, 路, 街, 公路 and 隧道 in Chinese. Less common suffixes are grouped under Other, while sections without a street name in the source data are labelled No Name. This website presents the Chinese and English suffix classifications side by side on a split map, showing how each suffix is distributed across Hong Kong's road network.
